I have been exclusively using the Boss Weighted 1.75" bobber for Walleye slip bobber fishing for the last 15 years. Before I made the switch, I tried dozens of other slip bobbers but never could find the perfect combination of sensitivity, balance, and castability until a friend introduced me to the Boss weighted 1.75". Since then, I have used nothing but the Boss 1.75" weighted for my slip bobber rigs and have caught hundreds of Walleyes and Crappies using this awesome float. The spring mechanism on the stem of the bobber allows me to see "light biters" long before I would see them using conventional slip bobbers, allowing me extra time to plan and anticipate my hook sets. This design, in my opinion, is also less likely to spook finicky fish as they take the bait since it takes them longer to feel the resistance of the float. This is quite simply the best slip bobber on the market, and for me is a must-have for slip bobber rigging.
